Interest in
business agility in organizations has been consolidated in a generalized way, within ICT departments and as a business strategy. Indicators of this shift are the heavy demand for experts in methodologies like
Scrum, Kanban, Lean and
DevOps and the conversations on the subject in social media and within the companies.
Organizational agility is one of the main characteristics of any company that is in a process of digital transformation. It allows a greater efficiency, capacity for innovation and time-to-market. We can also see that the majority of companies have incorporated Agile or intend to do so (the increase has been 100% in the past four years). Likewise, we find that 87% of companies that have used Agility state that it has improved the profits from their projects.
To date, Agility initiatives have usually been introduced in ICT departments in an isolated fashion or out of personal initiative. Some have paved the way for
Scrum project management, or operations with
Kanban or
Lean IT, with uneven results. This programme provides a comprehensive, practical view of the different options for applying Agility to software development, infrastructure management and ICT services for users.
The practice and applicability of the information imparted are the priority in this programme. The majority of classes in the programme practical, either partial, or total as a workshop.
The main stakeholders in the course are professionals who want to work in organizations with a more agile and modern culture, as well as those who want to contribute to transform their organization. The most common roles among participants are: software engineers, project managers, Scrum Masters or Product Owners, IT managers and IT technicians in general.
The
post-graduate programme in Agile IT Management provides a comprehensive, practical overview of the agile management of ICT departments and projects, including contents from three different disciplines –
Scrum, DevOps and Lean IT – in order to apply them directly in cases and practical examples.
Students on the Postgraduate's Degree will also be trained to pass the assessment to obtain the
PSM I Certification by Scrum.org.
- Graduates in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications and Engineering.
- Software developers, systems administrators and Service Desk technicians.
- Heads of IT Services with a technical background.
In the professional practice of ICTs, there are a variety of profiles, both university graduate and vocational training and others. Therefore, the professional profile at the start of the programme will be evaluated by the applicant’s curriculum vitae.
