The Open Talent session on: "What do we Communicate with light?" with the lighting designers Tapio Rosenius, Philippe Stanfield and Jan Blieske, will take place in the Sala Ágora of the CosmoCaixa - Museo de la Ciencia (c/ Isaac Newton 26, Barcelona)) on Thursday, 11 September, 2014, at 7.30 pm.
The three presentations will include real examples of international architectural lighting projects, with video and graphic support, which the three lighting designers will use to present their professional experiences at the helm of major international projects.
The speakers
Tapio Rosenius is director of the studio Lighting Design Collective, based in Madrid. This innovative platform for collaboration between professionals in the world of architecture, lighting design and the visual arts gives life to projects using the latest technologies and providing international coverage in more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and America. The studio won the 2013 IALD Award of Excellence for the Silo 468 Project.
Jan Blieske is an architect and the founding partner, with Jann Dinnebier, of the Berlin-based architectural lighting studio Dinnebier + Blieske. The collaboration between these two professionals dates back to 2004, after Blieske's experience of over 10 years as an independent architect. He is a member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects.
Philippe Stanfield is an architect and lighting designer, who has worked since 2010 at the French studio Yann Philippe Kersalé, where he carries out lighting projects for international cities, public spaces and private clients worldwide. He had previously had extensive professional experience as an architect in studios including Venturi Scott Brown, Atelier Christian de Portzamparc and X-TU. His professional interest focuses on the value of public and urban spaces.

Lighting Design Lecture series
This lecture is part of the closing ceremony of the 2013-14 Master's in Lighting Design. Architectural Lighting Design at the UPC School and ends the series of lectures sponsored by Artemide, Flos and Lutron, leading companies in residential lighting.
