An Open Class is to be held at 05:00 PM on thursday 26-09-2019 in Akzonobel (c/Feixa Llarga, 14-20, 08040 Barcelona) on Masters in Executive in Supply Chain Management. Operations and Logistics.

The Programme:

  • 5:00 pm - 5:15 pm - Welcome, with Pedro Hidalgo, Global Logistics Development Manager at Azkonobel.
  • 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm - Visit to the AkzoNobel Plant. Decorative Paints Manufacturing Centre. Visit to the manufacturing, packaging and loading lines of decorative paints for both the Spanish and international market. Lean Manufacturing Implementation Model (ALPS - AKZONOBEL LEADING PERFORMANCE SYSTEMS).
  • 6:30 pm to 8:pm – Lecture: "Transforming and Outsourcing Logistics Operations: Implementation of the Advanced 4PL Model at AkzoNobel". As part of the AkzoNobel Digital & Logistics Transformation strategy, the company has implemented and is in the process of rolling out an Advanced Management Model (4PL) for road transport, which includes the following areas:
  • Integrated global management: control tower for planning and executing transport.
  • Optimisation of transport flows.
  • Visibility; metrics, cost monitoring and event management.
  • Horizontal collaboration.
  • Continuous improvement - CI & Transformation Programme.
Lecture by:

  • Ignasi García, Senior Manager at Accenture. A member of Accenture's Supply Chain Center of Excellence, with more than 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, who has been involved in various projects related to storage and transportation.
  • Pedro Hidalgo, Global Logistics Development Manager at Azkonobel. The head of implementation of improvement and optimisation solutions for storage and transport networks, as well as the lean development/continuous improvement of the logistics processes at AkzoNobel.
  • 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm: Close of the open class.
