The CaixaForum Barcelona will host the Open Talent session "Aragami 2: releasing an AA game in a world of AAA games", with Pere Rius and Arnau Aguilar of Lince Works, at 6 pm on Friday 12 November. The event will also host the presentation of the video game Shutdown, the project developed by the students on the master's degree courses in video games and animation at the UPC School.
This presentation discusses the launch onto the market of the video game Aragami 2 from a business perspective, and to highlight the main technical challenges arising from the need to launch the game on many platforms at once.
In 2016, the small indie video game studio Lince Works released its first game, entitled Aragami - an action-adventure and stealth game that became one of the most internationally successful games produced in Spain, with more than 700,000 copies sold taking all its versions into account. This September they released Aragami 2, the sequel to the video game, which has some very interesting new features that we will be hearing about in this session.
This event will take place in English.
